FocusedFeed (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the FocusedFeed web application, Chrome extension, and iOS app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this solely to create and manage your FocusedFeed account.
With your permission, we access your YouTube subscriptions (read-only) to display your channels and organize them into categories. We also fetch recent video metadata (titles, thumbnails, publication dates, durations) from channels you’ve categorized.
We store Google OAuth tokens to maintain your session and access YouTube data on your behalf. Tokens are stored encrypted and are never shared with third parties.
Data you create within FocusedFeed — categories, newsletter preferences, and AI-generated summaries — is stored in our database and associated with your account.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
FocusedFeed’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.
FocusedFeed uses the YouTube API Services. By using our service, you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke FocusedFeed’s access to your YouTube data at any time via the Google Security Settings.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. Upon deletion, we remove your profile, categories, subscriptions, and generated newsletters. Cached video metadata shared across users (titles, thumbnails) may be retained.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted-at-rest database storage, and secure token handling. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
FocusedFeed is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy with a new effective date.
